I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
